Workshop Objectives
 
The course is designed to give a detailed understanding of the structure and content of the TMMi® model, including the Goals, Process Areas & Practices for each level. The background to the TMMi® Foundation will also be covered. Finally we will look at the general requirements, process and activities required to undertake formal TMMi® assessments in line with TAMAR (TMMi® Assessment Methods Application Requirements).

This course is designed to cover all of the requirements for the training of a TMMi® Assessor as defined by the TMMi® Foundation. The course will be a mixture of lecture and practical hands on examples.

Program Outline
 
Day 1:

• TMM®/TMMi® Model and its origins
- The drivers for a standard reference model
- How the TMMi® model was developed

• The objectives and remit of the TMMi® Foundation
- Global “Ownership” if the TMMi® Model
- Accreditation of Assessment methods and Assessors
- Industry trends and data
- The TMMi® Maturity Levels
- Level 2 – Managed
- Level 3 – Defined
- Level 4 – Management & Measurement
- Level 5 – Optimization

Day 2:

Process Areas within each Maturity Level
- Level 2: Test Policy and Strategy, Test Planning, Test Monitoring and Control, Test Design and Execution, Test Environment
- Level 3: Test Organization, Test Training Program, Test Life Cycle and Integration, Non-Functional Testing, Peer Reviews
- Level 4: Test Measurement, Software Quality Evaluation, Advanced Peer Reviews
- Level 5: Defect Prevention, Test Process Optimisation, Quality Control
- Specific Goals and Practices for each Process Area
- Generic Goals and Practices and how they apply to Process Areas

Day 3

• The requirements for undertaking an assessment against a standard reference model
• A detailed understanding of the assessment method stages to include:
- Preparation Stage
- Planning to go on site
- Communication with the Client
- Scope of Assessment
- Coordinating Interviews

- Data Gathering Stage
- The Interview process
- The Assessment Survey
- Artefacts

- Analysis and Reporting Stage
- Rating up
- Identifying Strengths and Weaknesses
- Feedback and Findings Presentations

ETI Cancellation Policy
  • All cancellations must be made in writing - either by mail, e-mail, or fax.
  • All payments must be received by ETI prior to the start of the workshop/seminar.
  • If cancelled 5 calendar days, or later, prior to the start date or for no-shows - NO REFUND
  • If cancelled 6-30 calendar days prior to the start date - 50 % of the workshop/seminar fee will be non-refundable.
  • If cancelled prior to 30 calendar days to the start date - A full refund will be issued.
  • You are welcome to substitute if you cannot attend, but please notify in advance.
  • You may reschedule with at least four weeks notice prior to the workshop/seminar for which you are currently registered.
